Adjoining Rooms
- Required light and ventilation may be obtained from an adjoining room when the opening:
- Is at least one half of the area of the common wall and provides an unobstructed opening.
- Provides an open area of not < 10% of the interior room floor area and is not less than 25 square feet in area. Bathroom Ventilation
- A minimum of 3 square feet, one half of which is openable, shall be provided in bathrooms. toilet rooms and similar spaces, or
- Mechanical ventilation capable of providing 50 cfm for intermittent venting or 20 efm for continual venting shall be provided.
